Our Diploma in Islamic Studies now offers greater flexibility, making it easier to fit meaningful Islamic learning around your commitments.

Choose from the modules available each year and enrol in a minimum of two, building towards the full diploma over several years. With flexible study hours and greater control over how you spread the cost of your studies, you can plan your learning around your time and budget.

Choose a study pattern that suits you:

One full day: Take the modules scheduled across a single teaching day.
Mornings only: Choose modules offered during morning sessions.
Afternoons only: Choose modules offered during afternoon sessions.
A combination: Select morning and afternoon modules across available teaching days.

Complete all the required modules over time, progressing towards your diploma with a schedule you can sustain.

Fiqh

Aims/Objectives:

To learn the Islamic rulings pertaining to social and ethical conducts of a Muslim in worldly affairs with practical relevance to today’s society.
To understand one’s rights and responsibilities in a holistic manner.
The basis of the rulings will be derived from the Hanafi Madhab, with appreciation for other Madhabs.

Content Summary:

Students will study Nikah (Marriage) Rida (Nursing the child) Talaq (Divorce) and Buyoo(Buying and selling).

Hadith

Aims/Objectives:

To familiarise learners with the saying of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
To explore the moral, spiritual and social insight that the hadith contain and how they can be thoughtfully integrated into contemporary life.

Content Summary:

Learners will explore a comprehensive selection of Sahih hadith from Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim covering Chapters of trials and tribulations, Jannah and jahannam, ilm, Virtues of Quran, Tawheed and more.

Tafsir

Aims/Objectives:

To learn the translation of surahs from the Noble Quran.
To deepen the understanding of selected surahs of the Noble Quran, explore its guidance and foster spiritual connections.
Gain insight into the moral, spiritual and practical lessons of the Noble Quran.

Content Summary:

Students will study Juz Amma; the 30^th chapter of the noble Quran.

Seerah

The Seerah is the study of the life of the Prophet sallallahualaihiwasallam. This study will help understand the background to revelation and rulings, while supporting the explanation of many verses of the Quran and the hadeeth.

The study begins with an insight into the days of ignorance followed by the revelation upon the Prophet sallallahualaihiwasallam in Mecca. The journey of the Hijrah followed by life in Medina is covered thereafter with focus on the events that led to the overall victory of Islam.
